BEYOND THE FINISH LINE
A student.An athlete in progress.
Triathlon is a part of my life. So are lectures, a new city, and figuring things out along the way.

EPFL · Mechanical engineering
KTH · Exchange year in Stockholm
Triathlon · Since September 2025
I study mechanical engineering at EPFL in Switzerland, and I’m spending my third year on exchange at KTH in Stockholm. Sweden is also where this whole story began, watching an IRONMAN finish in Kalmar.
I started training for triathlon in September 2025. Swimming 25 metres was difficult. My longest bike ride had been about 40 kilometres, and I had never run more than 3.5 kilometres before my first long outing.
The first year brought a marathon in Lausanne, a 180-kilometre ride around Lake Geneva, injuries, recovery, and two very different start lines: Geneva and Knokke-Heist. There was a lot to learn.
I’m not a professional athlete. This is a record of learning an endurance sport while being a student, and of seeing where that can lead. Next comes the challenge of the full distance.

The next chapter is just beginning. I’m open to thoughtful partnerships to support the challenges ahead.
